Wondering about making copies of this book for educational purposes?  Click HERE for a good article that lays out the legal issues.  The bottom line, I believe, is that if you want to make a copy of a single chapter for your own educational purposes, it's fine.  If you are a professor and want to make multiple copies for a class or copies of multiple chapters, it is not fine unless a) you are making copies of 5 or fewer pages or b) you get permission from the publisher.  You can either contact me and ask me to request permission or contact Springer directly.  I cannot make any promises as to what their response might be.  Thanks for your interest!
